On Sunday March 10th I will be hosting the first of many:

"TALES FROM THE TONGUE" $100 Poetry Slam

Along with open mic and feature from Treasure the Poet

Who is Treasure the Poet?

Treasure is a dynamic poet, performer, spoken word artist, proud mother and music teacher with degrees in theater and communication. Which has made performing not only a privilege but a lifelong passion.

What is a poetry slam?

A poetry slam is a competition where poets compete over 1-3 timed rounds in front of 3 judges to win a prize of money bragging rights and sometimes even a spot on a poetry slam team.

Rules and Regulations:

-EMAIL [email protected] to register by March 1st

- Arrive at venue no later than 6:00pm

-Be ready to Compete with two original poems

- Poems will be scored on a system of 10 being the highest 1 being the lowest

-One point will be deducted for going over 4 minute time limit

-PROPS ARE ALLOWED

-NO CENSORSHIP

-2 ROUNDS 10 POETS

-WINNER TAKES ALL!!!!
